PARENT/ADULT FAITH ENRICHMENT

At right: Check out Joe Paprocki's "Pop-Up Catechesis" segment from Loyola Press that describes how parents can witness their faith daily and set a good life example for their children!

Faith Formation does not end when the sacrament of Confirmation is conferred. (In fact, it's only the beginning!) Christ the King offers incredible opportunities for young adults, parents, and older adults to continue enriching their faith in various (and meaningful) ways! Our ministry leader for Adult Faith Formation here at Christ the King is Maureen McAuliffe.
Due to the pandemic, however, many of our Adult Faith Enrichment events (such as Coffee and Conversation) have unfortunately been postponed. We greatly look forward to the time when we can gather again. Please check back for updates! In the meantime, check out the following adult faith enrichment resources!
~May is known as "The Month of Mary." We'd love for you to join us in praying the Rosary every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. in the church! If you're not familiar with how to pray the Rosary, click here for a guide from the USCCB. Here's an article from Catechist.com titled, "The Rosary: Meditating on the Mysteries of Faith." Also, check out some creative ways to pray a "living Rosary" as a group!
~Christ the King has purchased a free subscription for all parishioners to Formed, a website from the Augustine Institute. Formed offers a wealth of Catholic resources, including movies and music for all ages. There are videos related to Easter, the sacraments, Gospel studies, "The Search" (excellent for faith inquirers), children's videos, and much more. Click here to register and access this faith-based content on demand! Just search for "Christ the King, Albany."
~The importance of adult faith enrichment: Check out this article by U.S. Catholic (originally published in March 2020) titled, "When it comes to adult Faith Formation, don't stop believing." The author writes about how parishes must look beyond Faith Formation for young people and also focus on adult faith-enrichment opportunities.
